Thrifted

I had to go to the mall today to return some merchandise. Instead of taking the freeway, I decided to take the street all the way down, just so i could have a chance to relax and listen to music. On my way there, I spotted a Thrift Store. I told myself I would stop by on the way back home. I went there not expected to find anything. Instead, i ended up buying some jewelry. lol. In total, all 5 pieces came to about 13 something. There was another bracelet that I wanted, but I was being cheap and didn't want to spend 10 dollars on one single thing. I was also gonna get a new brooch too, but couldn't decide which one I wanted (I'm so indecisive). lol.

But yeah. I just wanted to share my purchase. I for sure want to thrift a lot more this summer.

I also picked up a crop top from the mall. I've never worn one before, so it should be interesting. lol

I was gonna make this a long drawn out post, but I've decided not to. In a nutshell, I cheated. I only get one freebie and I last weekend I went above and beyond that. I went to the swap meet with a friend and got a little out of control. Then I turned around and ordered 4 new polishes from Zoya (they were having a BOGO promo).

Soo yeah. That's that. I'm super broke and have learned my lesson. I'm hoping I do better in April....

Lust Worthy: Bracelets

*I haven't done a lust worthy post in ages. But that's gonna change. I have about 5 that I'm going to be posting in the next few days. I was perusing the charm and chain website at work today and nearly flat-lined from all the gorgeous pieces they have on their sight. Of course I can't afford any of them, but I can lust over them. lol. I found so many pieces that I have to break them up into separate posts. Today, I'm starting with bracelets:

Knowledge is Power

I've been craving books for a while now. So today I went out and got some. I got them all (except one) from a second hand book store down the street from me. Unfortunately they had no Langston Hughes books, but I did find some good stuff; and none of them, including the one I got from Barnes and Noble, cost more than 8bucks!

You can't even begin to understand how stoked I am about having these books. I don't have much tv and I really just want to decrease how much mindless browsing I do on the interweb. Books and documentaries (I watch them here ) should help me do that.


While I was out, I also broke down and bought some jewelry.



It's not a whole lot and they were very cheap (cost 8 something for all four items, including tax). I just couldn't resist. lol

In about a year. lol. That's crasy. But I'm still craving more. Specifically rings. I need to hop on it...

It's all in the Accessories

So I'm extremely into accessories. I believe that ur jewelry, shoes, purse, jacket, etc makes ur outfit NOT ur clothes. It seriously takes me longer to pick out my accessories than it does my clothes.

Anywho, I say all that in order to introduce my new "segment".

Instead of doing an outfit of the day post, I'm going to do accessories of the day. It's basically a way to showcase my "rings and things"

Hopefully I keep up with it.

Things That Make Me Smile

Shopping Trip

I really can't stand anything in my closet anymore. I just feel like I have too mnay tshirts and ill fitting jeans.

So, today I decided to head out to the mall and see what I could find.

After being there for quit a few hours, I ended up with barely anything. I couldnt find a pair of jeans that fit me correctly, and only bought one shirt.

Although I couldn't find any cute clothes, I did get me some jewelry (of course. lol). I buy alot of jewelry, but I really had to share what I got today.

I usually don't like to buy jewelry from Forever 21 because I don't like to see a bunch of people wearing the same ish as me. But when I saw those necklaces, I just had to have them. I couldn't even choose one, so I got both.
